Once reset to flush out any old account info, the live account name can work just fine. You need to ensure your TV/Phone account is enabled in your account and that you have the correct password as it could be different that your normal password. You can test this out by trying to sign in with your live name using the Skype name option. If you have a TV/Phone account and sign in successfully with the correct password, then your account is configured correctly and can be attempted on the Freetalk 1200 device.
